    Jim Hudson approaches Boyd Steed about forming a new company offering civil engineering, land surveying & landscape architecture services.

    Jim Hudson suggests Planners & Engineers Collaborative as the name for the new company after the Architects Collaborative in Cambridge, Mass. At the time, this concept was unique in Atlanta since no other firm offered all these services under one company.

    PEC moves to 3099 Maple Drive Rented a garage from the Becknell family

    Boyd Steed becomes a registered PE

    J. R. Arnold leaves PEC and gives his stock to PEC

    Richard Woodman (N.C State ’63) a classmate of Boyd's at NC State is asked to become a partner.

    PEC moves to the Dell Building at 5582 Peachtree Road in Chamblee, GA.

    John Williams a project manager with Candler Griffin approaches Boyd Steed & PEC about the idea of being an apartment developer and needing the services of PEC.

    At the meeting, Jim Hudson suggests to John Williams to plant a rich, full landscape at each project to make them unique.

    POST Properties was born. POST Lake on Memorial Drive was the first POST development

    Boyd Steed leaves PEC to begin B. C. Steed, Jr. & Assoc., A Consulting Engineering and Construction Management Firm.

  • 1982

    PEC moved its office from Buckhead to Savoy Drive in Chamblee

    PEC moved its offices to grow to Technology Park in Gwinnett
